Why do we still have universal sin if Christ died for all?
Even though Jesus died for all people to take away sin, universal sin still exists because not everyone has chosen to accept His gift of forgiveness. Jesus offers everyone a chance to be free from sin, but we have the freedom to accept or reject Him.
Sin continues because people still make wrong choices, sometimes out of selfishness or pride. Jesus’ death made it possible to be forgiven and live right, but each person must decide to believe and follow Him. Until people choose to follow Jesus, sin remains in the world.
So, Christ’s death is the solution for sin, but the world still struggles with sin because not everyone has accepted His rescue yet (John 3:16; Romans 5:18-19; 1 John 5:12). The hope is that many will believe and choose life!
